Lee and Justin Johnson

Lee's reinactment stuff.

Following in his father's footsteps.

Justin Johnson

I would hate buttoning these shoes!

A poem I found on RaptureReady.com

I read of the wonders of Heaven above,In the place He's preparing for me.No sickness or sorrow can enter that land,And I wanted its beauty to see.
Yet I needed Christ's help just to cope with each taskThat life with its cares sent my way.Through triumphs and failures that filled up my years,My Heaven seemed ages away.
But now that I'm living my winter of life,I find not a day will go byWithout precious thoughts of my Heavenly home,And my meeting with Christ in the sky.
I'll see all my loved ones who've gone on before,And I'll sing with the Heavenly throng.I'll have a new body with no aches or pains,And I'll worship my Lord all day long.
Each day brings me closer to life's curtain call,When the face of my Lord I will see.I'll no longer be homesick, for I will be home,And with Jesus forever I'll be.

Ashley's teeth

Some much needed pictures will be posted on the blog soon. I will be traveling next weekend to see my dad and his family, so hopefully I'll be able to take lots of pictures.

Ashley MIGHT get her braces off next month! Very exciting! I definitely post pictures of her new "look" if she does get them off.

September, 2009

Today is Ashley's first day of high school. I really can't explain how I feel about that. Just 10 years ago she was in kindergarten learning how to read and such. Pray for her this year as high school in a public school can be quite difficult at times.

Lindsey and her silly faces.

Silly as always.

Lindsey likes to help in the kitchen. (I feel like I live in the kitchen.) She likes to pour ingredients like flour, sugar, spices and she likes to stir. In this picture we were making "Back-to-school brownies" and she got to lick the spatula.

Yum!

Thomas the Train

Thomas the Train was in town this past Saturday and we decided to "meet" him along with about 100 other excited children. It seems like events like these bring out either the best or the worst in children. However, Lindsey loved meeting Thomas and was excited to take a ride on his train.

Paul, Lindsey and Ashley at CI.

Savannah, Ashley, Sara, and Jer at Coney Island.

Lindsey watched Ashley decorate her birthday cake. Lindsey said "I want to squeeze that" about 50 times. This is the picture of her getting to 'squeeze' the decorating bag.

Didn't Ashley do a great job with the zebra stripes? I helped a little :)

Miss Ashley Brooke starting to decorate her homemade Coke-a-Cola chocolate cake for her 15th birthday.

Still decorating.

Surf City, North Carolina 2009

Lindsey at Myrtle Beach State Park, July, 2007

The camera was zoomed to the max on this picture from our beach house.

View from the front porch of the beach house.

Lindsey still likes playing in baskets.

View from inside the house. I've never seen North Carolina oceans look so blue.
